Industrial equipment is normally kept in service far longer than its battery is supported. When the original pack is discontinued, the choice is a rebuild or replacing the machine.
Rebuilding a discontinued pack
We work from the original: its dimensions, its connector, its electrical specification and, where it exists, its label. The rebuilt pack goes back into the same slot and plugs into the same harness, so nothing about the machine has to change.
Where the original design was marginal, we will say what a better configuration would look like. Cells available now often allow more capacity in the same envelope, and a BMS sized properly to the machine's duty cycle can remove a failure mode that was there from the start.
Duty cycle is the thing to get right
Industrial duty varies enormously — a pack that runs a handheld tool intermittently and one that carries a continuous load all shift are different designs even at the same voltage and capacity. Tell us how the equipment is actually used, not just its nameplate rating.
Spares and fleets
If you run several of the same machine, one original pack lets us quote the whole fleet, and holding a spare or two removes the downtime when the next one fails.
