Where sodium-ion earns its place

Sodium cells hold less energy per kilogram than lithium, so a sodium pack is bigger and heavier for the same stored energy. In exchange they are far less troubled by cold, and the raw material is not lithium — which matters for supply and for cost stability.

The −40°C rating is not a selling point in Malaysia. It is relevant if you are specifying for export, for cold-chain equipment, or for an installation where a lithium pack's low-temperature charging limit would be a problem.

For an ordinary Malaysian installation, lithium is usually still the better fit. Ask us and we will say which we would put in.
